Yes… I’m going to ask you about your 💩

A warning before your next consult with me…I will continue to ask you about your bowel movements 😅

And not just: “Are you regular?”

I mean detailed questions like:

• How often do you go?

• Do you have to push, or do they slip out easily? (detail matters 😉)

• Are they formed?

• What colour are they?

• Do they float or sink?

• Are they particularly smelly?

I know. Very glamorous. But there’s a good reason for it…

Your stools are one of the body’s major ways of eliminating toxins and waste products.

So if your bowel movements aren’t happening regularly, efficiently, and properly… the body can start struggling elsewhere too.

Got bad breath? I’m asking about your poo.

Acne? We’re talking bowel movements.

Bloating? Constipation? Weight gain? Hormones feeling off? Yep. Still talking about poo.

Because your digestive system plays a huge role in:

• detoxification

• hormone balance

• skin health

• energy

• immunity

• nervous system regulation

• inflammation

And despite what many people think… going every second or third day is not “normal” for optimal health. Ideally, we want regular, easy, well-formed bowel movements… at least once a day, preferably more. (No straining. No discomfort. No drama.)

So during consults, I’m often looking at things like:

✨ fibre intake

✨ hydration

✨ probiotic-rich foods

✨ bitter foods for digestive support

✨ nervous system stress

✨ liver and gut function signals

The body gives us clues constantly. Sometimes… they just happen to be in the toilet bowl 💩

And while it might feel awkward at first, these conversations can be incredibly important for understanding what your body needs.

So yes — I’m going into detail. You’ve been warned 😉
